Colourful Semantics is an approach created by Alison Bryan, Speech and Language Therapist based in the UK. This has been particularly effective for teaching children with a variety of Speech, Language and Communication Needs such as autism and developmental delays to name a few. It provides a more engaging experience for children as they learn!

The use of colourful semantics is helpful in:

  • Encouraging wider use of vocabulary
  • Increasing lengths of sentences
  • Supporting children in answering questions
  • Developing their use of nouns, verbs, prepositions and adjectives
  • Improving narrative skills

and so much more...
